As a winery centered around hospitality, our highest priority is ensuring that our guests feel safe and fully enjoy the food, wine and setting at Jordan Estate. Jordan Winery reopens for Tours & Tastings on May 1. To prepare for your visit, please take a moment to review these important COVID-19 safety precautions and guidelines.

Safety Guidelines: Unvaccinated Guests

Jordan Winery visitors who have not been vaccinated must follow the Center for Disease Control’s guidelines:

  • Stay home if you are sick or have been in contact with someone who tested positive. We are happy to reschedule your visit or issue you a refund.
  • Wear a face covering when you are not seated at your table. If you forget a face mask, one will be provided, but refusal to wear a facial covering will result in not being allowed to enter the property.
  • Maintain six feet of distance from those who don’t live with you.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water, and use hand sanitizer when soap and water are not available.

Safety Guidelines: Vaccinated Guests

Currently, the CDC recommends that vaccinated adults still take steps to protect themselves and others when in public. Jordan Winery visitors who have been vaccinated must follow these CDC guidelines:

  • Wear a face covering when you are not seated at your table. If you forget a face mask, one will be provided, but refusal to wear a facial covering will result in not being allowed to enter the property.
  • Maintain six feet of distance from those who don’t live with you.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water, and use hand sanitizer when soap and water are not available.
  • Only take off your mask indoors if everyone in your group has been vaccinated. (Indoor tastings are currently not offered at Jordan.)

Guests who exhibit any symptoms of Coronavirus will be asked to return home and will be issued a full refund.

Winery Staff Health & Safety Precautions

We follow strict safety guidelines to keep our employees and customers safe and healthy:

  • All facilities are sanitized before, during and after guest experiences.
  • All employees have been COVID-19 safety trained and follow CDC guidelines for hand washing, maintaining social distances, wearing face coverings and coughing/sneezing into an elbow or tissue.
  • All culinary staff are ServSafe Food Protection Certified and follow the sanitation guidelines of the Sonoma County Health Department.
  • All employees have been asked to stay home if feeling sick, and they must conduct a temperature check upon arrival.

Federal law protects the privacy of sensitive information about the health of all Americans. In accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), we cannot share information about which employees have been vaccinated. Agriculture and food service workers, however, were among the first to be offered the vaccine in Sonoma County.

Guidelines for Different Tasting Experiences

  • All tasting experiences are currently hosted outdoors with guests seated at individual tables with ample social distancing. Face coverings must be worn when guests are not seated.
  • All Estate Tour & Tasting guests must wear face coverings on the Sprinter. If someone forgets a face mask, one will be provided, but refusal to wear facial coverings in these situations will result in guests not being allowed to enter the company vehicle.
  • Library Tastings will resume indoors once indoor dining capacity restrictions are lifted. Guests will be seated at a communal table, and masks must be worn when not seated.
  • Vineyard Hike guests are encouraged to bring your own refillable water bottle, but bottles of water are available at the rest stop. Face coverings are only required when you cannot maintain six feet of distance with other hikers not in your party.

Until we reopen, our online shop is open 24/7, and we’re hosting Virtual Tastings by appointment.
