2004 Jordan Chardonnay

view all vintages

A glimpse into our past, the 2004 Jordan Russian River Valley Chardonnay was crafted in a more traditional California style with more creaminess, butter and toasty oak.

related content

The unusually brief 2004 growing season was characterized by unseasonably hot days in the Russian River Valley, including a heat wave that stretched right into harvest. Determined to capture the fruit at its peak flavor, the Jordan team worked around the clock—handpicking the grapes during the coolest hours of the night and pressing them through the day. This intense labor was rewarded with beautiful, crisp juice that yielded a brilliant Chardonnay.

Tasting Notes

The 2004 Jordan Chardonnay displays a citrus and mineral bouquet, with crisp green apple, kiwi, honey and lightly toasted oak. The palate has crisp, pleasing acidity with an understated creamy texture from fermentation in French oak barrels. Drink now, as this wine is past its peak maturity.
