A glimpse into our past, the 2001 Jordan Russian River Valley Chardonnay was crafted in a more traditional California style with more creaminess, butter and toasty oak.
Grapes from the 2001 growing season in the Russian River Valley displayed an ideal balance between bright, crisp fruit character and acidity. Partial malolactic fermentation added a creamy texture, and extended sur lie contact added depth and complexity.
The 2001 Jordan Chardonnay displays notes of pear, green apple, honey and lightly toasted oak on the nose, followed by a palate of fresh apple, limestone and butterscotch. This wine is past its peak maturity. Drink now.
