Hailing from a vintage where Mother Nature required us to make sacrifices to preserve quality, 1998 Jordan Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon displays elegance, finesse and harmony.
Due to a spring that was long, cool and wet, yields were smaller than usual in Alexander Valley in 1998. After keeping only those clusters that had been pollinated early in the spring, grapes were harvested from only those vines that were similar in maturity with balanced fruit. Quality requires sacrifice. Some years are more challenging than others, but the 1998 proved to us that all the hard work was worth it.
This is a multi-dimensional, mature Jordan Cabernet Sauvignon. Classy, restrained and elegant with aromas of dried cherry and cedar. The palate showcases a backbone of well-integrated tannins and strong acidity with slight notes of tobacco and spice to finish this delicious wine. The 750mL and 1.5L are at peak, while the 3L and 6L will continue to mature through 2024 and 2030, respectively.
