This two-bottle wood box features two vintages currently being poured during Jordan Tours & Tastings, offering an intriguing comparison of Jordan Cabernet Sauvignons with different structure and bottle age.
The 2010 growing season was defined by cooler temperatures, creating near-perfect conditions for thick-skinned Bordeaux grapes like Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. A vintage for those who love a wine that straddles Old World silkiness and New World opulence, 2010 Jordan Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is generous yet elegant, with intriguing aromas of blackberry, cassis, cedar and dark chocolate. The palate is inviting and silky, with a vivid core of blackberry flavor, balanced by a backbone of acidity and a smooth tannin structure. This Bordeaux-style wine has a very long, juicy, cherry-laced finish that speaks to its youthfulness. Enjoyable now or the 750mL cellarworthy through 2026 and 1.5L bottles through 2034. No decanting necessary for 750mL bottles.
2012 was truly a phenomenal vintage—every winemaker’s dream. The growing season was long with a mild spring and a gorgeous summer, allowing the very large crop of grapes to develop very intense fruit flavors. The biggest surprise was how stunning such a bountiful crop tasted in the tanks—an elegant, yet concentrated wine that has the potential to age for decades. The 2012 Jordan Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon's aromas of blackberries and black cherries intermingle with an inviting hint of cedar from oak aging. The wine’s silky palate is long and expansive, boasting a beautiful balance of black fruits, cherries and fine tannin structure. The lingering finish leaves a delicious touch of cherry fruit, inviting the next sip. A seductive and age-worthy red wine to be enjoyed now or cellared through 2028. Decant for 60 to 90 minutes to elevate aromas and flavors.
The set includes one 750mL bottle of each wine, packaged in a wood box.
A Jordan notecard will be included on all orders with gift notes entered.
