Join our winemaker for a special afternoon of wine, food, film and friends celebrating the man who helped create Jordan Cabernet Sauvignon.
Be amongst the first to watch a new documentary film about the most influential winemaker in America since Prohibition, the late André Tchelistcheff, who was hired by the Jordans in the 1970s to realize their dream of making a California Cabernet Sauvignon that rivaled First Growth Bordeaux. Created by his grand-nephew Mark Tchelistcheff, André: The Voice of Wine, is narrated by Ralph Fiennes and tells the story of André’s life, including the nearly 20 years he spent mentoring Jordan Winemaker Rob Davis, who is featured in the film. Gather with Rob and Mark in the theatre’s foyer for a Champagne reception, Jordan’s newly released wines, artisan cheeses and charcuterie by Journeyman Meat Co. before a private screening of the 90-minute film. Afterward, Rob and Mark will answer questions about André, the film and this important chapter of California winemaking history that should never be forgotten. For your viewing pleasure, this event is hosted at the Raven Film Center in Healdsburg, Northeast of the Healdsburg plaza.
