Jordan

1986 Jordan Cabernet Sauvignon

Record rain during the winter of 1985-86 led to excessive fertility in the vineyards. We dropped 15% of the crop to maintain a balance of vine canopy to cluster count and enhance fruit quality. Though still showing firm acidity in 2009, this wine’s tannins have completely softened, and the color is beginning to fade. The 750mL is past its prime. Drink magnums now and consider 3L and 6L formats at their peak.
