Our 1980 Cabernet Sauvignon captured all the intensity of the long growing season experienced that year. The aroma is intense, full of cassis like fruit character. This fruit is balanced out in the palate with a rich, complex jamminess that has been enhanced by storage in small French and American oak barrels. The aggressiveness of the Cabernet has been softened by the addition of approximately 12% Merlot, which gives the wine an elegant silkiness and memorable finish. True to the Jordan style, the 1980 Cabernet Sauvignon lends itself to immediate drinking pleasure; however, enophiles with a sense for longevity will recognize its full potential for years to come.
