Considered a vintage of patience and arguably this decade’s greatest, 2002 possesses more black cherry fruit character and concentration than the celebrated 2001 and is drinking beautifully now. 2003 demonstrates the characteristics of a cooler growing season with its nice cherry quality and is also ready to drink. Weather conditions in 2004 led Winemaker Rob Davis to overcome nature’s challenges by increasing our American oak influence, yielding a more elegant wine with a classic herbaceous character on the nose, light cherry notes and softer, sweeter tannins.
