The 2010 growing season was the definition of “cool climate” in an appellation known for its warmth, creating near-perfect conditions for thick-skinned grapes like Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. A quintessential Jordan Cabernet Sauvignon, 2010 is defined by approachability and elegance. The palate is inviting and silky, with a vivid core of cassis fruit that defines every sip, balanced by a backbone of acidity and a smooth tannin structure. This is truly a banner year that showcases our desire to get better each vintage. Enjoy now or cellar through 2026.View details >
This vintage is a dream come true for Winemaker Rob Davis, combining both an excellent growing season and our new direction with fruit sourcing. Visually stunning with a deep garnet-ruby hue, this wine possesses an unprecedented elegance of fruit expression, lively acidity, tannin structure and oak integration. Aromas of blackberry, black cherry and cassis are supported by subtle hints of baking spice and vanilla from oak aging. Enjoy now or cellar through 2025.View details >
To make a wine of greatness, the vintner must accept losses in both grapes and wine due to strict quality standards similar to the very best crus in Bordeaux. Two significant frosts in spring of 2008 affected grapevine growth, lowering grape cluster yields as much as 20% per vine. A wine that captures the heart of Jordan's style—balance, elegance and full expression of fruit—Jordan 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon has a smooth, silky structure that showcases the delicacy of the vintage. Elegant aromas of cherries and plums open to a soft, silky mouthfeel boasting a spectrum of red and black fruit flavors with a hint of spicy oak. Enjoy now or cellar through 2020.View details >
The 2007 growing season made this vintage a winemaker's dream. A smaller crop yielded more concentrated flavors in the grapes, and moderate temperatures allowed the fruit to mature slowly and beautifully. A seamless wine, the 2007 Jordan Cabernet Sauvignon exudes beautiful, dense, blackberry aromas that echo through the mid-palate. The mouthfeel is silky-smooth with soft, round tannins accented by a vanilla quality from aging one year in primarily French oak barrels. Enjoyable now or worthy of cellaring through 2020.View details >

With concentrated aromas of cassis, cherry, cedar and tobacco, this complex wine exhibits blackberry and blueberry flavors with a hint of vanilla from oak aging. 2005 was a vintage that showed well immediately upon its release in 2009, but it is meant for the cellar. This wine will continue to age gracefully until 2020 in 750mL and 2030 in large-format bottles. Decant for 60 to 90 minutes.View details >
There is femininity about this vintage that will seduce you with soft, supple tannins and a sweetness of fruit. This wine has blossomed with cherry, plum and cassis notes laced with a thread of spicy American oak throughout the mid-palate and finish. “The best it’s ever tasted,” Winemaker Rob Davis said in our winemaker’s recent retrospective tasting. The exemplary 2003 growing season produced a layered, richly textured wine that has yet to reveal its age. With one of our earliest harvests on record, this vintage produced fruit especially noted for its small berries and loose clusters. Showing flavors of both bing and black cherry, leather and cedar. It carries an elegant backbone of tannins leading to a rich, smooth finish. The 750mL should peak by 2018, the 1.5L by 2022, the 3L by 2030, and the 6L by 2035.View details >
The addition of fruit from our hillside vineyards contributed to the well-integrated aromatics, depth of flavor, and round mid-palate feel of our 2000 vintage. It delivers lovely fruit characters with bright acids and balance. A little shy on the palate but still showing a lot of complexity with intriguing white pepper, flowers and herb notes. Lingering cherry and dusty strawberry fruit dance on the palate. The 2000 is silky, elegant and delicious. Drink the 750mL and 1.5L now through 2015. The 3L and 6L will continue to mature through 2030 and well beyond.View details >
The 1999 vintage was the first harvest of our estate hillside vineyards. Dried cassis and black cherry fruits and a hint of vanilla oak remain on the nose, intermingling with a bouquet of tea leaf, tobacco, leather and autumn spices. On the palate, a lively acidity is balanced by a firm, tannic backbone. The 1999 is just about to peak and truly demonstrates the charms of a beautifully aged Jordan Cabernet Sauvignon.
While 1999 will continue to be enjoyable to those who appreciate an aged wine, the more savory, aged-wine components will likely dominate the fruit aromatics by 2020. Decant and enjoy immediately or let breathe for an hour. Drink 750mL bottles now or hold up to 2020 for peak maturity. The 1.5L may be enjoyed now through 2025, 3L through 2026 and 6L through 2035.
Particular to the 1998 growing season was the protracted fertilization of the grape clusters due to the long, cool, wet spring. Quality requires sacrifice – already facing a small crop, we dropped additional clusters to achieve a crop of uniform maturity. Classy, restrained and elegant with aromas and flavors of pure red raspberry and cassis underlain by an elegant acid backbone and a complex potpourri of herbs, spice and dried cherry fruit. This is a multi-dimensional wine with mature aromas and flavors. The 750mL is at peak, while the 1.5L will peak in 2013. The 3L and 6L will continue to mature through 2030 and well beyond.View details >
An ideal growing season in which healthy vineyards and old vines provided us the remarkable 1990 vintage. This vintage is big and lush, yet still balanced and harmonious. A more robust version of the 1980 vintage, the 1990 is defined by cherry aromas and flavors with olive and tea notes on the palate. Its silky mouthfeel and aged characters pair perfectly with earthy, triple-cream cheeses. All bottle formats are drinking beautifully and ready for consumption, though mature, savory characteristics are more present in the 750mL and 1.5L bottlings.View details >

Our 1981 Cabernet Sauvignon captured the intensity of a short, very warm harvest season. From the appearance to the finish, this expression of Jordan Estate Alexander Valley fruit clearly displays characteristics of a slowly and carefully aged wine. The 1981 now shows aromatics of dried black cherry, plums and raisins accompanied by savory notes of dried herbs, olive and tobacco.
The 750mL is slightly shy on the mid-palate and finish at this point in its life. Refusing to give up its youth, 1981 large-format bottles are pensive, persistent and can be appreciated by all wine lovers. Decant off of sediment and enjoy now.
